Heart of the Hive Youth Enrichment Program Inc. was born from a mother's heart, a journey of overcoming adversity, and an unwavering belief that every child deserves a chance at a better future.
Our Founder and Executive Director, Meldonise Lane, knows firsthand what it means to face life's most difficult challenges while fighting to create a better future for her children.
As a mother of five, a survivor of domestic violence, and someone who experienced homelessness alongside her children, she understands the fear, uncertainty, and hardships that many families in underserved communities face.
But she also knows the power of faith, resilience, compassion, and having someone believe in you when life seems overwhelming.
Those experiences did not define her future. They helped shape her purpose.
Rather than allowing hardship to harden her heart, Meldonise turned her pain into a passion for helping others. She made a commitment to stand in the gap for children and families facing the very circumstances she once endured.
That commitment became Heart of the Hive.

At Heart of the Hive, we believe that behind every child is a story that deserves to be heard, a dream worth nurturing, and a future filled with possibilities.
Serving underserved communities throughout Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties, we provide mentorship, educational enrichment, leadership development, emotional encouragement, summer programs, community service, and meaningful life experiences.
We believe a child's circumstances should never determine their worth, their potential, or their future.

Heart of the Hive was not created simply to run programs. It was created to make a difference in the lives of children who deserve to know that somebody cares.
Our work is rooted in compassion, strengthened by lived experience, and guided by the belief that even the smallest act of kindness can plant a seed of hope that lasts a lifetime.
